Material and thickness
FingerHinge is cut from plywood and other sheet materials. The material thickness can be set from 2 to 8 mm (default 3 mm); tabs, slots and clearances are recalculated automatically with every change.
Assembly
The parts are joined with finger joints: the tabs fit into slots and hold without screws. Kerf compensation is set in the configurator so the joint fits snugly; a drop of wood glue fixes it permanently if needed.
At standard dimensions the set has 7 kinds of parts; the configurator nests them on a sheet and calculates the cutting time and an approximate price.
